Day 134-135 Fidel’s and the SUN

DEC 19-20

Many reflections

We spent three quiet days on the beach. I got the outside hose set up. The original hose was only a few feet long, great for showering but of course my intent is to use it on the dogs. I had all the parts I needed and getting it set up was a snap (no pun intended). I added quick releases to the ends so I can snap on and off a hose sprayer. I added Velcro to the outside since the hatch was blowing open. It’s a pretty nifty set up.

I tinkered with a few other chores but spent most of the time working on pictures, walking the beach and reminding myself that I can RELAX.

What’s better than chasing shore birds? curlews, sandpipers, gulls and pelicans

TinTin is still on antibiotics and stitches come out soon…. She never skipped a beat.

I bought Clams from a local who came into the campground. I still haven’t gotten a good handle on the money conversion. It took me a while to realize that I paid 3 pesos each for them which is only about a quarter each or $3.00 for a dozen.

I don’t even like clams but couldn’t resist…

The end of another glorious day

  1. You found a WHOLE sand dollar! I am so very jealous!!! I’ve not seen whole ones on a beach since I was 10 (we always found looked for them in OR). Tin Tin looks awesome and the shorebird chasers make me realize Epic got that genetically! LOL Have a great holiday and indeed you need to RELAX. This trip is an adventure not a job….just sayin.

Your opening picture of relections needs to be framed. I couldn’t stop looking at it.
I too collected sanddollars washed up the Washington coast. We would color them to look like flowers.
Love to you from our family, Joanne, Jack, Belle’, Stoli, and Kozmo
